About SocialCareKit

SocialCareKit exists because the people doing the most important work in social care are usually the last to get good tools.

Frontline staff in children's homes and adult services navigate a maze of regulations, acronyms and paperwork — often on their phone, mid-shift, at 3am. Registered managers rebuild the same templates from scratch in every new service. Workers wonder whether their sleep-in pay is legal and have nowhere quick to check.

So we built a kit:

• Interactive tools that answer real questions — pay, holiday, working time, notifications — instantly and privately. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type reaches our servers.
• A template library of properly structured documents mapped to the regulations they support, free to use within your organisation.
• Plain-English guides to the law and practice frameworks that shape every shift.
• A staff rights section, because a workforce that knows its rights is a safer workforce for the people it supports.

Who is behind this?

SocialCareKit is built and maintained by people with direct experience of the UK social care sector, with content reviewed on a rolling schedule — every tool and template shows its last-reviewed date, and you can report an error on any page.
